Timeless Design, Thoughtfully Collected

Mid Century Design Haus is the result of a lifelong love affair with form, detail, and timeless design. Shaped by a rich artistic heritage and decades of creative exploration, the brand reflects a deep appreciation for beauty, both in objects and the spaces they inhabit.

The Vision Behind Midcentury Design Haus

Mid Century Design Haus was born from the desire to curate objects that honour timeless design and craftsmanship. Every piece is carefully selected to reflect the enduring beauty of the mid-century era; objects with character, elegance, and a quiet sense of story. This collection is not just about aesthetics, but about creating spaces that feel meaningful and deeply lived-in.

Behind the Curtain; A Life Shaped by Design

I grew up in an antique dealer’s home, surrounded by beautiful objects d’art. My father, Fred, was a fine arts painter by training and an Ancient Art & Antiquities dealer from 1963 onwards. From an early age, I was immersed in the world of drawing, sculpture, and fine objects, experiences that quietly shaped my eye for detail and sense of design.

Creative Foundations

At 19, I began formal studies at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London. Surrounded by inspiring creatives, I developed my artistic voice. I later went on to study architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, where I earned my undergraduate degree, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Architecture from UEL.

These years laid the foundation for my multidisciplinary approach to art, structure and space.

Craft and Practice

Beyond academia, my passion led me into hands-on craftsmanship; carpentry, joinery, and furniture making. These disciplines gave me a profound respect for materials and making. I later worked with Glas Architects in London before founding my own practice, space3 architecture, designing residential projects and entering international design competitions.

Photography has also remained a constant companion, keeping my eyes sharp and my curiosity alive. It’s through the lens that I continue to find new ways of appreciating the beauty that surrounds us.
